The day after Christmas, I took my daughter Bea to the Araneta Coliseum to watch the Disney on Ice show. I actually bought our patron seat tickets last October, as soon as I learned about the Manila leg of this well-loved ice show on tour. I always look forward to watching it even though my childhood days have long been gone. There’s always something magical about it that makes it a special treat for kids and kids-at-heart during the holiday season. It was my sixth time to watch a Disney on Ice show, and Bea’s fourth. Let’s Celebrate! features all-time favorite Disney characters such as Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald and Daisy Duck, Goofy, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, the Toy Story gang, the Disney Princesses with the latest addition of Tiana (from The Princess and the Frog), and so many others. Bea was one of the few lucky little girls in the front row who got a souvenir flower, handed to her by “Princess Jasmine.”
If you ask me, it’s not the best Disney on Ice show I’ve ever seen. Frankly, it’s not as spectacular and exciting as the ones before, but I still think it deserves a big applause. If you dream of going to Disneyland but can’t make your dream come true just yet, watching Disney on Ice is your best bet for now. You still have time to catch it while you can. The final shows will be staged tomorrow, January 3.

Have a great year ahead!

We also watched that show yesterday. Will blog about it soon!
The Little Ones and I also watched this show on the same day that you did. The Little Boy was overjoyed seeing his favorite Mickey. He was shouting and jumping up and down =)
