I still consider myself a frugal person, despite my habit of dining out several times a week. As a housewife, I’m constantly on the lookout for bargains, special offers and promotions. I always keep tabs on my rewards points when making purchases, and I keep an eye out for discounts and freebies. After all, isn’t there a saying that goes, “The best things in life are freebies”? Well, there should be.Metrobank Card Corporation has a promotional tie-up with the Pancake House Group that allows Metrobank credit cardholders to enjoy up to P360 worth of free treats from any of the following partner-establishments: Pancake House, Teriyaki Boy, Dencio’s, The Sizzling Pepper Steak, Kabisera ng Dencio’s and Le Coeur de France. For every P2,500 single-charge slip, a cardholder will get P120 off at any participating restaurant. So two charge slips worth at least P2,500 each will earn P240 dining value, and three P2,500 charge slips will get to enjoy P360 worth of food and/or beverages. I used my Metrobank credit card to pay for our groceries so I got a P120 dining value, which I used to redeem a regular bowl of Chashu Ramen at Teriyaki Boy. It costs P155, so I only paid the difference of P35 plus tip for a very filling and delicious meal. Happiness!
